Hi, I’m Sree, the founder of Invest in Property AU, an engineer-turned-property investor who has built long-term wealth through disciplined, data-driven investing.
My approach to the Australian property market isn’t built on textbook theory.
It is backed by over a decade of personal investing experience, a multi-million dollar personal portfolio, and a professional background rooted in precision engineering and data analysis.

My Story
I migrated from India to Australia in 2012 with a background in engineering and manufacturing, originally trained as a tool maker.
When I arrived in Australia, the transition was not easy. Despite my experience, I struggled to secure engineering work and took on survival jobs in delivery, factory work, and hospitality while rebuilding my career.
Eventually, I was offered an unpaid internship in manufacturing. That opportunity became a turning point. I stayed with the same organisation for 14 years and worked my way up to Engineering Manager, leading teams and overseeing large-scale operations.
My introduction to property came in 2014 when I purchased my first home in Perth using Keystart. Shortly after, the market declined, and I experienced firsthand how timing and cycles impact outcomes.
By 2017, the property had fallen in value and I felt financially constrained and stuck. Around the same time, I realised something important — starting my financial life in Australia later than others meant my superannuation was naturally behind, and relying solely on it would not create the future I wanted.
That period became a turning point in mindset.
Instead of reacting emotionally, I began studying property properly — cycles, supply and demand, and long-term fundamentals. At the same time, I renovated the property myself out of necessity, learning practical skills in demolition, tiling, flooring, and layout improvements.
That combination of study and hands-on experience changed everything.
By 2019, I identified that Perth was near the bottom of its cycle despite negative sentiment. I re-entered the market with a structured, data-driven strategy.
From there, I continued building a portfolio across Perth, NSW, Vic focusing on fundamentals such as infrastucture spend, SEIFA scores, Supply and Demand, replacement cost, and long-term demand drivers.
Today, I’ve built a 7 figure property portfolio that me and my wife is happy with, and paid off my principal place of residence in 7 years.
More importantly, I learned that successful investing is not about predicting markets — it’s about understanding them deeply and acting with discipline over time.
Why Invest in Property AU?
Over time, friends, colleagues, and people around me began asking for help with their property decisions after seeing my results.
What I consistently noticed was a common problem — people were making emotionally driven decisions, influenced by marketing, short-term sentiment, or “shiny” properties, without understanding the fundamentals that actually drive long-term performance.
I’ve also seen investors enter the wrong markets or segments and underperform for years simply because they didn’t have the right framework or guidance.
That’s why I created Invest in Property AU.
